Volkshilfe takes the protection of personal data very seriously. We want you to know when we store which data and how we use it. We have taken technical and organizational measures to ensure that both we and external service providers comply with the statutory data protection regulations. Compliance with applicable data protection law is subject to constant review by our data protection officer.
The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data.
1 General declaration
When you visit our website or register for certain online services via our website, we collect personal data from you. We need this personal data (e.g. name, address, e-mail address, telephone number, date of birth, etc.) to process the respective online service (e.g. online newsletter). The purposes of the respective online services are specified under points 4 to 5 of this privacy policy.
By voluntarily registering for an online service, you consent to the use of your personal data by us in the manner described under points 4 to 5. We store your personal data until the purpose of the respective data use has been achieved or for as long as you expressly request this (unless statutory retention periods prevent this).
2 Handling of personal data
Personal data is all information that can be used to identify you personally and which can be traced back to you – for example your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and date of birth. Volkshilfe only collects, uses and passes on your personal data if this is permitted by law or if you consent to the collection of data or if your inquiries require internal forwarding to the federal office (Volkshilfe Österreich) or a locally responsible regional Volkshilfe office.
3 Disclosure of personal information to third parties
We only use your personal information within Volkshilfe Tirol, StartUp Volkshilfe GmbH and Volkshilfe Innsbruck care services. All persons who work with your data are bound by the GDPR, other legal regulations and contractually by the data protection regulations of Volkshilfe. However, if we are obliged to do so by law or by court order, we will pass on your data to authorities entitled to receive information. Beyond this, we generally do not pass on your data to third parties. An exception applies to those inquiries in the context of which your data is forwarded to the locally responsible regional Volkshilfe office or the Volkshilfe federal office for the purpose of processing.
4 Online newsletter
You can subscribe to a newsletter on our website. To receive the newsletter, you must provide personal data (name/pseudonym and valid e-mail address). The online newsletter provides interested persons who register for our online newsletter via our website with up-to-date information about our offers, activities or appeals for donations. All data is stored on protected servers in Austria.
Unsubscribe: You can revoke your consent to the storage of your data and its use for the delivery of our newsletter at any time. Each newsletter contains an unsubscribe link for this purpose (e-mail: presse@volkshilfe.net). Please enter unsubscribe in the subject line.
5 Forms (contact, inquiry, jobs) & pre-registration for childcare facilities
The contact, inquiry, jobs and pre-registration forms for the childcare area on our website offer interested persons the opportunity to contact us or interact with us easily. If you provide us with personal data via these forms, we will use your personal data so that we can, for example, answer your inquiry or fulfill the purpose of the form. The type of data collected depends on the purpose of the respective form and may differ as a result.
6 Technical standards – Secure transmission
We use the so-called SSL security system (Secure Socket Layer) in conjunction with a 2048-bit certificate for data transfer. This technology offers maximum security and is therefore also used by banks, for example, for data protection in online banking. You can recognize that the data is transmitted in encrypted form by the closed key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.
Our measures are continuously adapted to the state of the art in the event of changes. Nevertheless, we would like to point out that data protection for the transmission of data within the Internet cannot be fully guaranteed according to the current state of the art. Other Internet users may be technically capable of interfering with network security without authorization and of controlling message traffic. Our online offer contains links to other websites. We have no influence on whether their operators comply with data protection regulations. We also have no influence on the legality of the content of these websites. Wir nutzen die Einbindung von Videos u.a. den Anbieter Vimeo, betrieben von Vimeo, LLC mit Hauptsitz in 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011. Auf einigen unserer Internetseiten verwenden wir Plugins des Anbieters Vimeo. Wenn Sie die mit einem solchen Plugin versehenen Internetseiten unserer Internetpräsenz aufrufen – beispielsweise im Bereich Service „Videos“ -, wird eine Verbindung zu den Vimeo-Servern hergestellt und dabei das Plugin dargestellt. 10 Online-Spenden
Das Online-Spenden-Tool bietet Ihnen die Möglichkeit, die Volkshilfe über das Internet finanziell zu unterstützen. Sie können unsere Online-Spendenseite grundsätzlich ohne Offenlegung Ihrer Identität ansehen. Wenn Sie aber eine Spende tätigen wollen, werden wir Sie nach Ihrem Namen und nach anderen persönlichen Informationen fragen, um die Onlinespende bearbeiten zu können. Die Nutzung unseres Online-Spendenformulars unterliegt Ihrer freien Entscheidung.
Wir bieten für Online-Spenden folgende Zahlungsmöglichkeiten: Kreditkarte (Visa und Mastercard), einmaliger Bankeinzug über EPS Online-Überweisung (Sie werden zu Ihrem Online Banking weitergeleitet.) und Erlagschein (dieser wird Ihnen postalisch zugesandt). Die digitale Übermittlung der Daten erfolgt verschlüsselt. Die Volkshilfe speichert selbst keine Karten- oder Bankdaten, Ihre Zahlungsdaten laufen direkt über Wirecard, einen externen zertifizierten Online-Zahlungs-Partner. Unsere Dienstleister dürfen die Informationen ausschließlich zur Erfüllung ihrer Aufgaben nutzen und sind verpflichtet, die österreichischen, bzw. europäischen Datenschutzbestimmungen einzuhalten.
Des Weiteren verwenden wir das Online-Spenden-Tool auch für die Verwaltung und Kommunikation mit Spender/innen. Da seit einigen Jahren Spenden von gemeinnützige Organisationen steuerlich abgesetzt werden können, speichern wir bei Ihrer Spende Name, Adresse, E-Mailadresse, Telefonnummer und Geburtsdatum, um am Anfang des nächsten Kalenderjahres eine Spendenbestätigung ausstellen zu können. So können wir auf der einen Seite Spender/innen umfassend betreuen und auf der anderen Seite die gesetzlichen Anforderungen hinsichtlich der automatischen Arbeitnehmerveranlagung erfüllen. Folgende Daten von Ihnen werden von uns mit Ihrer Zustimmung im Rahmen der automatischen Arbeitnehmerveranlagung an das zuständige Finanzamt übermittelt: Name, Geburtsdatum, PLZ und Gesamtspenden pro Jahr. Eine weitere Übermittlung Ihrer Daten an Dritte findet nicht statt.
11 Widerspruchsrecht zur Datennutzung
Da wir die Daten in unseren berechtigten Interessen verarbeiten, haben Sie grundsätzlich ein Widerspruchsrecht, wenn bei Ihnen Gründe vorliegen, die sich aus Ihrer besonderen Situation ergeben, die gegen diese Verarbeitung sprechen.
Ihnen stehen grundsätzlich die Rechte auf Auskunft, Berichtigung, Löschung, Einschränkung, Datenübertragbarkeit und Widerspruch zu. Vorratsdatenspeicherung) kollidiert, haben Sie ein Anrecht auf Berichtigung falscher Daten und auf die Sperrung oder Löschung Ihrer personenbezogenen Daten.
